Foreland Presents Tower Stair: “The Living Room,” by 30-06

Opening during Foreland Open Studios, June 27th, 12pm – 6pm

Additional open hours on July 3rd, 4th, and 5th from 11am – 5pm

111 Water Street, Catskill, NY

30-06 is the interdisciplinary art practice of sisters Lauren and Isabella Pedrosa, working across digital and physical experience design. Their practice explores the relationship between image, architecture, atmosphere, and spatial storytelling.

The Living Room transforms our Tower Stair into a living, sensing environment–an immersive installation that translates the bioelectrical activity of living plants into sound and moving image. Through sculpture, botanical material, digital systems, and the architecture of the stair itself, the work reveals quiet exchanges between living systems, built space, and human presence. Read more about the installation in detail on their website, here.

Tower Stair at Foreland is a fully cantilevered, wrap-around structure spanning 6 stories. It's the crown jewel of our architectural design, the fever-dream collaboration between the building owner and David Bers Architecture.

Tower Stair is equipped with 12 individual speakers, accommodating anywhere between one audio track and layered, speaker-specific programmed sound. We host both designed installations and live performances within the stair.

The audio installation at Foreland is designed and produced by Wesley Harper.
